No festival or auspicious occasion is complete without the rice pudding. All time favorite for the kids and adults alike.
In a pot boil Soy or non-dairy milk for 5 mins. Add cooked brown basmati rice gradually, while stirring – cook for 15 mins. Add raisins and stir well. Add brown sugar and mix well. Let it cook for 5-7 mins. Add rose water, elaichi powder and saffron. Stir well.
Let it cook for a minute and transfer to serving bowl.
Sprinkle dry roasted cashews/almonds and enjoy!

|1/2 cup to one cup Brown Sugar (Jaggery)|
|2 teaspoons Rose water (optional)|
|1/2 teaspoon Elaichi powder|
|pinch of saffron (optional)|
|20 cashews or almonds|
|20 raisins or kismis|
