This thick and filling stew is so delicious. It is our favourite stew. The recipe is from our good friend Jeff Moulton.
Method:
Servings: 5-6
Cooking time including preparation time: 45 minutes
| 1 cup of peas |
| 1 medium turnip, cut into ½ inch cubes |
| 3-4 medium potatoes |
| 1 large onion, chopped |
| 4 large carrots, sliced |
| 1 1/2 cups mushrooms, sliced |
| 4 cups of vegetable broth (one litre) |
| 2 tablespoons of dried chives |
| 1 tablespoon of minced garlic |
| 1 teaspoon of Montreal steak spice |
| 1/2 teaspoon of celery salt |
| 1/2 teaspoon of salt |
| 1/3 cup of whole wheat flour |
| 1/2 cup of water |
