Delicious French toast is one of our favorite morning meals. It is egg free, oil free and dairy free.
Blend all the ingredients except bread in a high-powered blender to make the batter. Let the batter sit for 5-10 minutes. Dip the bread slices in the batter for a second. Cook the dipped bread on a non-stick pan for 40 – 50 seconds on each side on medium heat. No need to use any oil or spray to cook them.
|Six whole grain or multi-grain bread slices|
|Ten regular dates or 4 Medjool dates|
|1 ounce of almonds|
|One Tablespoon flax seed powder|
|One teaspoon vanilla extract|
|1 ounce of rolled oats|
|1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon or pumpkin spice|
|tiny pinch of turmeric|
|1 and 1/4 cup almond milk or soy milk|
