My mom used to make tamarind chutney to go over Indian snacks such as chats, samosas, bhel puri etc. Nothing can beat the taste of her chutney but of course there was lot of sugar or jaggery and long cooking times. So I thought of recreating this traditional dip using dates instead of sugar.
Here’s a simple recipe that you can create in minutes with the same aahhmaazzzing taste.
1 and half cup pitted dates (20-25 dates) |
1 cup water |
1 Tablespoon Tamarind paste/concentrate |
1 teaspoon Chat masala |
1 Garlic clove |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
