Tawa Pulao is one of the popular North Indian rice dish rich with flavors and vegetables.
Servings 6-8, Cooking time including preparation: 40-45 mins.
Method:
Soak Brown rice for 30 minutes.
In a large sauce pan, dry roast cloves, bay leaves, elaichi (crushed), and cashews for 45 secs. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for another 30 secs, add chopped peppers, onions, carrots and beans, tomatoes, degi chili powder(paprika), salt, coriander powder, pav bhaji masala – let them cook for 2-3 mins, stir well. Add 6 and half cups of water, add coriander leaves and mint leaves. Cover with lid and cook for 2 mins. Add peas and cook for 10 mins. Add soaked rice, cover with lid and cook for 20 mins. Serve hot.

Elaichi (cardamom) – 2 (crushed) |
Coriander powder – 1/2 cup |
Coriander leaves (cilantro) – 2 tsp |
Cloves – 2 |
Cashews – 6 |
Ginger garlic paste – 1/2 teaspoon |
Degi Mirch powder/ Paprika – 1/2 Tablespoon |
Salt to taste - 1/2 Tablespoon |
Mint leaves – 2 tsp |
Pav Bhaji Masala - 1 and half teaspoon |
