Edamame are fresh soybeans in pods. They make a very tasty snack or appetizer. They are excellent sources of protein, iron and calcium. Consumption of whole soy foods has been linked with lower risk of breast cancer and heart disease.
Frozen edamame can either be microwaved for two to three minutes or alternatively cooked on over stop, in boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle pinch of salt before serving (optional)
