With summer, comes barbecues, picnics and parties. And what are barbeques without hot dogs? Along came Myrtle Kelly to introduce us to flavorful yet healthy hot dogs. Enough said. See below for the super easy recipe.

  1. Peel the carrots and shape them to look like wieners by rounding the edges
  2. Boil them for 15-20 minutes until they are cooked but not too soft.
  3. Meanwhile, prepare your marinade by combining all the ingredients.
  4. When carrots are cooked, place in cold water to cool.
  5. Pour the marinade in a ziplock bag and place the carrots in the bag. Marinate for at least 4 hours in the fridge.
  6. When marinated, place them in the frying pan and brown them using some of the marinade (as needed).
  7. Put them in the hot dog bun and add your favourite condiments and relish them.
