Onion Rings
Description
You don’t want to miss this recipe. When Wendy Nicole brought this for our GOH participants, everyone was clamouring around. Enough said…
Method:
- Slice a large yellow onion into rings.
- Preheat oven to 450 F (232 C). Line the baking tray with parchment paper.
- Prepare the batter by combining brown rice flour, plant-based milk, garlic powder, smoked paprika, savoury and salt. The batter should be thick but adherable to coat.
- In a separate bowl whisk together bread crumbs, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Using a fork, dip the onion rings into the batter and allow the excess to drip off.
- Transfer to the breadcrumb mixture and coat evenly.
- Shake off excess and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake them for 25-30 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
