Description

You don’t want to miss this recipe. When Wendy Nicole brought this for our GOH participants, everyone was clamouring around. Enough said…

Method:

  1. Slice a large yellow onion into rings.
  2. Preheat oven to 450 F (232 C). Line the baking tray with parchment paper.
  3. Prepare the batter by combining brown rice flour,  plant-based milk, garlic powder, smoked paprika, savoury and salt. The batter should be thick but adherable to coat.
  4. In a separate bowl whisk together bread crumbs, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt. Set aside.
  5. Using a fork, dip the onion rings into the batter and allow the excess to drip off.
  6. Transfer to the breadcrumb mixture and coat evenly.
  7. Shake off excess and place them on the baking sheet.
  8. Bake them for 25-30 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
