Finally! I am giving away my secret recipe, which everyone loves to have when they come to our place. This is one dish that the fussy kids or picky eaters don’t mind having.
This is a very flavorful dish deriving its taste from numerous spices. Don’t get intimidated by the number or name of the spices. These can be found in your regular grocery store. You do not have to hit the Asian store in particular. If you cannot find the spices in their whole form, you can also buy them in powdered form. Even if one of the spices is missing, it’s not a big deal.

1 teaspoon of cumin |
1 tablespoon of fennel seeds |
1 tablespoon of poppy seeds |
2 cups of chopped onion |
1 1/2 cups of tomatoes, chopped |
1/2 cup of tomato paste |
1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste |
1 green chilli |
1/8 teaspoon of turmeric |
1 teaspoon of chilli powder |
1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder |
1/2 teaspoon of coriander powder |
1/2 teaspoon of garam masala |
15 to 20 cashews |
1/2 teaspoon of kasuri methi (dried fenugreek) |
2 teaspoons of cilantro, finely chopped |
1/2 teaspoon of salt or to taste |
1 package of extra-firm tofu, cubed |
