Description

Oftentimes, I find store-bought granola is too sweet or has oil. Kim Slaney makes her own  granola and brings this as a snack  to our support group meetings. Guess what? We were all hooked. This recipe is the best. It is very simple to make and can be used as a breakfast item, or snack.

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F.
  2. In a large bowl combine all dry ingredients.
  3. In a small bowl mix together the honey and applesauce. Pour this wet mixture over dry ingredients and mix well. Use your hands to combine well.
  4. Spread the mixture out on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and bake it for 20 minutes.
  5. Stir the mixture around on pan and bake for another 20 minutes or until light brown.
  6. Remove and let cool. Store it in a glass jar.
